We tested ZoogVPN. Here is the footage.
Most VPN reviews are a table of claims. This one is a folder of recordings. Over four days in September 2026 we ran ZoogVPN through the tests that actually decide whether a VPN is worth paying for — speed against a measured baseline, three streaming platforms, censorship in two countries, DNS and WebRTC leaks, torrenting and split tunnelling — and captured the result every time, with the ZoogVPN window in the same frame as the thing being tested. Speed tests from four server routes
Ookla and FAST.com, each preceded by a no-VPN measurement on the same line, on Vienna and New York exits.

- Where: a home fibre line in Ukraine, measured at ~290–360 Mbit down / ~295 Mbit up, 4 ms ping before any VPN was switched on.
- What: the ZoogVPN desktop clients for Windows and macOS.
- Protocols: WireGuard for speed and torrenting, IKEv2 for streaming and split tunnelling, Shadow for China and Russia.
- Servers: Vienna, New York, San Francisco, London, Frankfurt, Zurich and Paris.
- When: 18–21 September 2026 — one session, not a rolling benchmark.
What we did not test
- Disney+, HBO Max and Hulu. Netflix, BBC iPlayer and Prime Video were tested; those three were not. A "works with streaming" claim should not quietly extend to them.
- IPv6 leaks and kill-switch behaviour. Our leak tests ran on a stable connection. What leaks during a drop is a different test, and we have not run it.
- Mobile apps and mobile networks. Everything here is desktop, on a wired connection.
- Long-term consistency. One session, four days. Streaming detection and censorship both move; a recording from September 2026 proves September 2026.
